When Miss. S reached out to us, she was uncertain if I was a legit Luxury Boudoir Photographer in Frederick, Maryland or if I was a scammer. lol

Although now I laugh at this idea, I completely understood her concerns (and other client's concerns too). Safety comes first. It's extremely important to choose a professional photographer you trust, Boudoir is an intimate experience exposing our vulnerability. I got that. I was new to the area and almost absent from social media. (Now I'm changing this completely as you can tell).

Anyways, I was able to address her concerns and offered her a life-changing experience!

I admire her courage to take the leap and dive into this incredible experience, celebrating herself and her weight loss journey.

I was (and still) so proud of her. She is still featuring in some of the studio samples as a model because she is not only gorgeous, but she has an inspiring story to be told.

Her story and self-love journey will inspire you. I'll use only her words on this post:

" I am a mother of 3 who has not been comfortable showing my body since I have had children.

My children are adults now and while they, and my husband, tell me all the time that I am beautiful, I struggle with confidence.

This is not a self-love issue. I love myself, there are just many parts of my body that I think could be in better shape.

A little over a year ago I committed to a healthier diet and regular exercise routine. I found a gym that I love and have found a family that motivates me and inspires me to be my best self. As a result of eating better and working out, I have lost over 30 lbs.

While I still may not be at my goal, I try to celebrate how far I have come. When I found AM Boudoir I decided to step out of my comfort zone.

After looking at the AM Boudoir site I knew that someone with Andressa's photography skills could help me see the beauty that my husband and children see. And I was right.

I was really nervous about this experience. First, I met her online, and even until the point I was walking in for my appointment I wasn't sure if I was walking in to a scam. I had conversations with Andressa over the phone prior to my appointment and her kind nature did help ease my concerns.

When I arrived she was so welcoming and warm. After a few minutes with her and the makeup stylist I knew I was going to have a great time.

During the photo shoot Andressa was extremely complimentary. At first, I internally struggled with thinking 'you say that to all your clients' or 'you have to say that to make me feel good.' But, after spending time with her I felt that her comments were genuine, and I began to feel more beautiful.

She was very open to poses I wanted to try our outfits I wanted to wear. Poses that may have felt awkward looked amazing in pictures. There was one particular outfit that I brought with me that I really struggled with putting on. Andressa encouraged me to put it on and took several pictures in it, some of them were my favorites.

I walked out of my photoshoot feeling amazing. I felt like a million dollars. But more then that, I felt beautiful. This experience helped me feel more comfortable in my own skin and with my body. Yes, I have some curves and areas that I still dont love but I love me overall.

I have told many friends about my experience and many of them felt the same way saying 'I could never do that until I lose weight.' While I have lost weight, I am still not at my ideal weight, but am so happy that I have had this experience and didn't wait until I was at my goal. The reality is I live in this body every day.

I only get one chance to love this body and I am so happy that I was able to celebrate it and the beauty that it is. When I look at my pictures and I see my belly or curves, now I can see that those curves are a result of creating and carrying 3 children and they are beautiful. Those wrinkles around my eyes and lips are a result of a life well-lived. Instead of feeling old, I remember that they carry the smiles of the joyous moments of my life."
